* Note: All these components will give additional benefits either because they reduce the unsprung mass or inertia under acceleration.

Safety issues:

Light components such as the doors, rear subframe, boot lid etc.. will probably fair less well in an accident than their original steel counterparts. When considering lightening your Mini also consider adding a roll cage etc..
